It is very common for some children to exhibit fear in or around water. These emotions can come out during bathtime, swimtime, or even when dipping their toes in the ocean. ⠀
⠀
Fear is a learned emotion and can result from an adverse experience in the water, small or large. We find that most children who appear fearful towards water are unskilled and therefore lack confidence in aquatic environments. ⠀
⠀
This often times leaves parents to worry about how well their fearful child will do in ISR lessons. Our lesson structure is customized to every child's individual needs and experience, including honoring each child’s emotions attached to their aquatic historic. The program is designed to always present small achievable tasks that set them up to succeed. We are NOT a program that “throws babies in the water.” ⠀
⠀
Our structured lessons help a fearful child to build skills quickly, giving them confidence and independence. ⠀
