We practice swimming in our Christmas jammies, winter coats, hats … all our warm weather clothes.

Why? Because most drownings occur at non-swim times. ⠀
⠀
Drownings happen when the pool is shut down and yet a little one to find his/her way out a gate and back out to the water … undetected. Sadly, this happens year round in warm and cold weather.
⠀
This is why we give every student the opportunity to practice their skills in their clothes. This is not a test of any kind, rather the chance to experience the water in their everyday attire with an ISR Instructor.⠀
⠀
This means we will swim in everyday clothes, a diaper, shoes, jackets, or hats. These are things that are not part of the normal swim lesson experience, but can make water challenging to navigate if the child meets water unexpectedly.⠀
