Fall is a great time for your ISR skilled swimmer to come back for maintenance or refresher lessons! Maintenance lessons are singular lessons for students who have completed ISR within the last 3 months or so. Bringing your child for consistent maintenance lessons will help to keep their confidence up & prevent their skills from getting rusty as their bodies grow (and we all know kids grow FAST!) Refresher lessons are daily, consecutive lessons typically booked in 1-2 week long increments. These are great for students who have completed ISR lessons in the last 6-12 months and need to tighten their skills back up to match their new heavier, longer body! Refreshers are also ideal for children who may take some time to warm back up to coming to lessons with their Instructor. It is amazing to see their confidence rise after a few days back to lessons. You’ve invested time and money into your child’s initial learning and they work so hard to master their skills. Taking advantage of maintenance and refresher lessons to protect that investment and also ensure your child’s skills are sharp should they ever unexpectedly need to use them. Visit our website, see link in bio, today for more information. #isrkentuckyaquatics #infantswim #watersafety #sharethelex #lexmomsky #springswimming #infantswimmingresource #drowningprevention #swim

Did you know that most drownings occur at non-swim times? ⠀ ⠀ It’s not often happening when we are watching them closely at the pool. It’s happening when we have shut pool time down and brought everyone inside … only for a little one to get back out to the water undetected. And this can happen year round, not just in the summertime. ⠀ ⠀ This is why we give every student the opportunity to practice their skills in their clothes. This is not a test of any kind, rather the chance to experience the water in their everyday attire with an ISR Instructor.⠀ ⠀ So what does this mean for your child? It means normal everyday clothes, a diaper, shoes, jackets, or hats. These are things that are not part of the normal swim lesson experience, but can make water challenging to navigate if the child meets water unexpectedly.⠀ ⠀ The kids think it’s silly to swim in their clothes, we think it’s silly to not be prepared. ⠀ ⠀ To learn more about our ISR program, see the link in our bio. ⠀ ⠀ #isrkentuckyaquatics #infantswim #watersafety #sharethelex #lexmomsky #springswimming #infantswimmingresource #drowningprevention #swim

We often get asked “why are your sessions only 10 minutes a day for five days a week”? ⠀ Here’s 3️⃣ reasons why: ⠀ ⠀ 1. Repetition and consistency are crucial elements for learning for young children. Research shows that short, more frequent lessons result in higher retention. ⠀ ⠀ 2. Most children have short attention spans and won’t be able to focus on the task much longer. ⠀ ⠀ 3. Physical exertion is important to keep in mind. We get their bodies working really hard and we always want to keep the lesson safe as possible. Keeping the lessons to just 10 minutes is a great way to do that! ⠀ ⠀ It’s truly incredible what your child CAN accomplish is just 10 minutes. A few spots remain for our last two fall sessions. See the link in our bio to learn more.⠀ ⠀ #isrkentuckyaquatics #infantswim #watersafety #sharethelex #lexmomsky #springswimming #infantswimmingresource #drowningprevention #swim
